There are a boatload of 3D printed fidget toys online. From cubes to spinners to buttons and switches – it can get overwhelming quick.

But if you often fidget with a pen, your hair, etc. to help you focus, you should consider printing some fidget toys.

To make it easy, here’s our collection of the most unique and interesting designs you can print, for free, by tonight.

We looked at over 350 3d printed fidget spinner designs on Thingiverse so don’t expect a standard fidget spinner with a slight twist… they needed some unique feature (or to be best in class) to make the cut.

And check out our list for free STL files and models (outside of Thingiverse). Enjoy.

Fidget Gear “Gift Card” – the 2D 3D printed fidget toy

First up, a flat (2d) 3d printed fidget toy you can print and assemble or gift to a distracted friend.

If you’re in a pinch for a gift, you can create this cute little “gift card” in about 2 hours. It’s an always-ready gift of anxiety relief and a small, fun project.

Fidget Spinner – One-Piece-Print / No Bearings Required!

This 3d printed fidget toy looks like your standard fidget spinner. Only this one requires no bearings and is print-in-place (no assembly required!)

It’s also $10 cheaper than most spinners because the bearings are also 3d printed.

Elliptical Gear with no center pivot

This Elliptical gear setup looks cool. With no center pivot it’s unlikely to be great for mindless fidgeting – but the design will mesmerize and inspire the curiosity in a kid (or me… an adult kid).

Print-In-Place Fidget Cube

Another print-in-place fidget toy earning it a special spot in our roundup.

There are roughly 18,748 fidget cubes online – but we liked this one most for its simplicity.

Ultimate Fidget Toy

This is one of the simplest and fastest 3d printed fidget toys we found.

In roughly 20 minutes you can have a free, go-anywhere 3d printed fidget toy to help you release anxiety.

Gyroscopic relaxing keyring – 6 rings

If you’re often restless or need to release anxiety here’s a 3d printed fidget toy for your keychain.

Fidget Three

Like the Gyroscopic relaxing keyring, this is a print-in-place multi-ring toy.

I especially like the bearings and didn’t see them on many other free STL files.

Two way screw

Planetary Gears with Herringbone Teeth

Spinning top – up to 1min spinning time – easy, no supports

Modern Jet Turbine Fan Fidget Spinner

Minisaurs – a true fidget toy

Minisaurs
Minisaurs by muzz64 | Thingiverse

Many of the items in our collection aren’t true fidget toys… but Minisaurs, the snapping T-Rex you can 3d make at home – is 100% a fidget toy.

Fidget Gears Revolving V2 Print-in-Place

As an engineer, this gear-in-gear design is mesmerizing.

Kasinatorhh has a video of them in action on the Thingiverse page – definitely take a peek as it puts fidget cubes to shame.

Fidget Toggle Switch

On that note, forget cubes, this 3d printed fidget toy switch would keep me occupied for hours. Though I’m not sure it would help me focus…

Roly Poly Quarter Fidget

Easily the simplest and fastest of the fidget toys in this collection. With twenty minutes and two quarters you’ll have something to fidget with (and can use it for laundry money in a pinch.)

Helical Gear Fidget Toy

These things look gorgeous… I’m not sure what tools they used to post-process but the helical gears and body look downright professional.

Fidget Tornado

Spinner helical gear

Fully 3d Printed Fidget Spinner

It’s hard to tell by this picture but this little spinner has fully 3d printed bearings. From the author: “with a little post-processing and WD-40 you can get it spinning really nice.”

Mechanical Switch Fidget Click Toy

In conclusion

Now you have a great starter collection of unique and free fidget toys you can download and make tonight.

I started off with the gift card and my two-year-old daughter immediately took it for her own… so make one for you, a friend, or your kid and have fun with some toys with beneficial distractions.
